Joe Tenbusch, Managing Director
Joe Tenbusch is an investment manager in the corporate venture arm of a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier, directing investments in industrial-technology companies advancing materials, manufacturing, and energy. He has structured capital deployments into strategic funds and startups and serves as a board observer for his investments.

Joe started as an automotive design engineer, then earned an MBA and helped lead strategy and M&A integration of a battery startup. As a consultant, he guided manufacturers and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office on growth strategy and gigafactory financing.

Twice recognized as a Global Corporate Venturing Rising Star, Joe sits on the boards of the Society of Automotive Analysts, Walsh Ventures, and an industry advisory board for a climate-tech fund. He convenes the SAA’s The Road Ahead focusing on the future of industrial tech in the automotive industry and speaks regularly at industrial-tech events.
